Feature Request

Hi Sergio,

thanks for the translation!

About combining altitude and speed diagrams: It would be doable, but i'm not sure it would look good. I find it rather distracting to have multiple lines (with different min/max scalings) in the same diagram, but i guess that's a matter of taste ;)

I'll try to catch the error on empty files - otoh i have to assume the plugin is "fed" with valid gpx files (i wonder what would happen if you feed it with a JPG :) ).

cheers, Frank

- problems hours correspond to GPS problems
sorry

- french translation of new files

- Is it possible to combine graph altitude and speed ?
for example : draw a line speed (red) on the diagram of altitude
for each point have the altitude (diagram) and speed (line)

- there are error display (if the gpx contains no data)

Hi,

i've been working on several additions and fixes for the next release.
You can see a preview of the upcoming version 1.1.4 here (with a track recorded during my recent holiday in Morocco).

You can now have a speed diagram rendered (like the elevation diagram), and there are quite some new Track Infos available.

I have also included a new Layout Template (#6) that can be used as a reference for all available Track Info data and their placeholders (that one is used in the link above).

@Sergio: i think most of your suggestions regarding track infos should be covered there.
What do you mean with "problem with hours/timezones"? The plugin reproduces them exactly as they appear in the GPX file, no timezone conversion or anything...
As for the moving cursor, i'd love to implement this, but i don't have any idea how to do that - to little knowledge of Javascript, sorry...

@KSL: i can read the heart rate and cadence data from your file - so far, so good. I'm just wondering what to do with it:
- add another diagram for the heart rate, and yet another for the cadence?
- draw the diagram lines onto the elevation diagram (or the new speed diagram)?
- just calculate the min/max/avg values and make them available as Track Info placeholders?
Opinions??

If you want to try a beta version of V1.1.4: click here to download it.

have fun & cheers :cheer:

improvements in

- There is a problem an hour with the actual values
(certainly timezones)

- calculate moving time
- Calculate downtime (when the GPS does not move)
- Calculate the mean not counting stops (moving average)
- Separate the date and time (start and finish)
- Maximum speed
- Average speed uphill
- Average speed downhill

elevation diagram
- moving a cursor to a point that moves on the track of the map
(like openrunner)
- set a color for each percentage (either uphill or downhill)

documentation
- Make a list of all parameters that can be put in the "preset"
("ti" does not work)
- Make a list of parameters that can be put in the content

see the attachment : I do not know all the parameters or all values

Frank,

GREAT plugin. It came just at the right time too. I'm building a local bicycling information site and was wanting to implement ride data. This is JUST what I was looking for.

I've attached the gpx I used on my text site. It was created from data I loaded from Strava. I believe that the raw Garmin data contains many more fields. I will also send one from my Garmin once I get home tonight.

Hi,

@Sergio: the things you request should all be doable - if you know a little PHP, you can probably do it yourself looking at the code. There's no "magic" in there ;-) However, i'll take a look when i get back.

@KSL: Depending on how the data is stored in the GPX file, that should be doable, too - i have an "old" Oregon 300 and it doesn't record all that stuff like cadence and so on. Could you send me some sample files? If i see the "naked" XML i can estimate what it would take to include those informations.

I guess you would want to have them be shown like the elevation diagram, right? Or else just write back and tell me your ideas!

cheers,
Frank
